Sworn into the Grosse Pointe Park City Council on December 6th, 2021 to fill Mayor Hodges' council seat after she was elected as Mayor. Currently serving as the Chair of Public Safety Committee, member of the Ordinance Committee, liaison for the Parks and Recreation Commission, Marina Subcommittee, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) and a member of the Michigan Municipal League (MML). 100% attendance at every Committee and Council Meeting.
Appointed to the GPP Recreation Commission in 2015. Beginning in 2021, acting as Liaison for the Council and a member of the Marina Subcommittee. Worked with fellow commission members and with the Director of Parks and Recreation to ensure that GPP’s great amenities are enjoyable and inviting. The work includes listening to public comments and encouraging community engagement.
President of the GPP Little League since 2000 but involved in the league as a manager and board member since 1980. Has worked with hundreds of GPP volunteers and families, encouraging pride in GPP and teaching thousands of GPP youth the value of teamwork. The success of the league is a direct result of the passion GPP families have to volunteer for the good of the community.
Parish Leadership Team Member at St. Clare of Montefalco since 2017 and Co-Chaired a Capital Campaign, along with an amazing team, raising more than $1.2 million dollars to improve the St. Clare's Social Hall, School and Parking Lot. As Parish Council President, in 2017, led “Say Hi Sunday” which included hundreds of volunteers knocking on every door of the surrounding neighborhoods of East English Village, Cornerstone and GPP promoting St. Clare and GPP as welcoming communities. Also, an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Grosse Pointe Men's Club Foundation President since 2018, an effort he spirited as Past President of the Men's Club (formerly known as the Senior Men's Club of Grosse Pointe). The foundation has proudly supported several worthy causes including the Grosse Pointe South Choir, Grosse Pointe North Choir, Detroit Institute for Children, The Neighborhood Club, The Helm, GP Historical Society, Beaumont Health Foundation, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Literacy for Kids, Brilliant Detroit, Michigan Freedom Center, and Veterans Returning Home.
Member of Lions Club International since 1989, working to raise money and supporting such charities as Leader Dogs for the Blind, The Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Bear Lake Camp for the Blind, Beaumont Silent Children Fund, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and providing thousands in scholarships to mention a few. Elected President of the Detroit New Center Lions Club twice in the early 90s, and then, when the Office Furniture Business moved to Royal Oak, joined their club serving as President twice, and also serving as Zone and Region Chairman. Currently co-chairing two major fundraising events for the club.
Continues serving as a member in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1996 and Flotilla Commander in 2011 and 2012. As a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, provides continued to support the United States Coast Guard endeavors.
Volunteerism is a critical part of the success of any great community. Volunteered countless hours as head coach for various youth baseball, basketball, soccer, and hockey teams along with providing support to Grosse Pointe Public School PTO's and various fundraising events.

It has been an absolute honor to serve as a GPP Councilman and I am thrilled to be able to continue serving our community. Our City has made great progress over the past couple of years. We will continue the positive energy and momentum. There is much more to do and I am looking forward to being a part of making our City the best it can be.
