I am lucky to have lived 60+ years in Grosse Pointe Park. I was one of my family's 17 children to grow up first on Balfour and then Devonshire. My father passed away when I was five and my mother (who had 10 children) remarried my now father George Arsenault, also a widower with 7 children, in 1966 making us front page news at the time. I attended Defer, St Clare of Montefalco and Austin Catholic Preparatory School. As an adult, I rented an apartment on Beaconsfield while I attended Wayne State University. My wife of 40 years, Donna, also grew up in Grosse Pointe Park. We purchased a home on Bishop in 1986 and then later moved to our current home on Lakepointe in 1994 where we raised our 3 wonderful children who attended Maire, Trombly, Pierce and Grosse Pointe South. We are proud of the adults they have become and are content knowing that we gave them an idyllic community to grow up in. We now have 4 beautiful and healthy grandchildren (one more on the way) who we love taking to our parks or just on walks down our tree lined streets.
For four decades, I was fortunate to own and work with three of my brothers in the Office Furniture and Supply business. As Vice President of a family owned business, I learned the necessity of training and supporting your employees. If you have happy employees, you can retain them and they in turn will provide your customers with the best service.
I was appointed by then Mayor Palmer Heenan to serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission in 2015. In December 2021, the GPP City Council unanimously voted for me to fill the council seat vacated by Michelle Hodges when she was elected to serve as Mayor of Grosse Pointe Park.
I began volunteering for the Grosse Pointe Park Little League in 1980 and I have been honored to serve as President of the league since 2000. I feel blessed to have met and volunteered alongside hundreds of Park families over so many years. GPPLL is truly a place where friendships and memories are made that last a lifetime. I am an active leader at my church, St. Clare of Montefalco in Grosse Pointe Park and appreciate the grace and friendship that my faith and mission there provides. I am also currently the President of the Men's Club of Grosse Pointe Foundation. My service commitment extends to many other boards and activities outlined on the Leadership page.
I love my family, my faith, and my community.
I also enjoy hunting, fishing and reuniting with my now 140 extended Arsenault-McMillan family members.

It has been an absolute honor to serve as a GPP Councilman and I am thrilled to be able to continue serving our community. Our City has made great progress over the past couple of years. We will continue the positive energy and momentum. There is much more to do and I am looking forward to being a part of making our City the best it can be.
